Sometimes beating the competition is about brute force. Sometimes it's about strength in numbers. As a DMA member, you get both. We call it the Power of Association, and we're confident it’s one of the most worthwhile investments you’ll make.
DMA members benefit from Protection, Intelligence and Growth, which are designed to reinforce the competitiveness and profitability of your business, as well as promoting and protecting the direct marketing (DM) industry.
Protection

No matter how big or powerful we are, we all occasionally need someone to stand up for us. The DMA exists to protect the UK DM industry from legislative threats, to promote best practice, and to develop the sector as a whole. We do that very effectively, working to preserve maximum commercial freedom for your business at the highest level in Westminster and Europe and with organisations such as Royal Mail, Postcomm and Ofcom.
Intelligence

No single individual can ever know more than the whole industry put together. As a DMA member, you have the accumulated business intelligence of UK direct marketing at your disposal.
Members benefit from free personalised legal and best-practice advice on DM issues. You also benefit from opportunities to advance your learning by networking with peers and industry leaders at DMA events. Membership enables you to gather intelligence through regular bulletins, the DMA Research Centre and the wealth of information contained within the DMA website.
Growth

More than £17 billion is spent on DM every year in the UK. Annual growth currently stands at thirteen per cent. DMA membership can help you benefit from that growth. If you are a supplier, then membership could enable you to win new business, as more and more clients come to regard DMA membership as a prerequisite for potential new suppliers. If you are a DM practitioner, then you will gain from the fact that more and more consumers regard the DMA logo as the sign of responsible direct marketing.
